  1. Deal Details: Allows you to define basic settings for your deal.
  2. Define Audience (Optional): Allows you to define an audience to attach (associate) to your deal. For example, you can select an existing audience or create a new audience.
  3. Traffic Filters (Optional): Allows you to add traffic filters to your deal.

create new deal > deal details screen

1. Deal Details

The Deal Details screen is where you specify the basic settings of your deal.

To create a new deal:

  1. From the Deals List screen, click New Deal located on the top right.

The Create New Deal screen appears.

  2. In the Deal Details section, type in the Deal Name, and then select one or more Demand Partners from the list as needed.

Demand Partners get listed as you select them.

  3. In the Budget & Duration section, type in the Deal Floor price, and then select a Start Date and End Date (optional).

  4. Click located on the top right. You are now in the Define Audience screen to define your audience.

If you need to add traffic filters without defining an audience, on the top right click Skip, and then complete the Traffic Filters screen.

2. Define Audience

Once you have specified the basic settings of your deal, the Define Audience screen allows you to define an audience for your deal.

To define an audience:

  1. In the Audience Options section, select an Audience Type from the list:

    NOTE

For detailed steps on how to create an audience, see Creating an Audience.

  2. Once you have defined (or created) your audience, click located on the top right. The audience is now successfully defined.

  3. From here:

    • We suggest you add Traffic Filters to your deal to get more granular targeting so that you can define your target group better.
    • To return to the Deals List and visualize your deal status, click the Deals tab located on top. When the data is successfully processed, the deal status will change from Publishing to Active.

3. Add Traffic Filters

Once you have specified the basic settings of your deal, the Traffic Filters screen gives you the option to add traffic filters to your deal.

To add traffic filters:

  1. Select the Match Criteria to apply to your filtering.

    • All: All of the conditions set in all Traffic Filter sections need to match.
    • Any: One met criteria is sufficient to qualify a request to match with the deal. For example, Location is met, but Domain is not met.

  2. In the Inventory and Content section, complete the following:

Match CriteriaClick All or Any for each Type of item, as needed.

The following example shows that a Page url item was added with two App bundle id items, each having a different operator:

In addition, a different Match Criteria option is selected for each Type of item.

Let’s further explain how the match criteria works for the items shown above. If a specific item like Page URL has only one condition (Equals +), then the match criteria within Equals (contains) will always be OR. The match criteria only matters when there are two different conditions/statements. For example, like App Bundle ID where it’s all criteria to match vs any criteria to match.

  3. In the Domain section, type in a domain address and then press Enter. You can add more than one domain. Include or Exclude your domain(s).

To add multiple domains at once, click the Bulk Add button and then follow the instructions shown on the Bulk Add dialog.

  4. In the Current Location section, search and select a location type (Location or Location Radius) to Include or Exclude. You can add more than one location. The following example shows a location included and a different location excluded:
